Paul’s story
Paul grew up in a tough neighborhood in New York City, raised by a single mother who worked tirelessly to keep their family afloat. Life wasn’t easy, and challenges were a constant part of his world.
Then he found sports. The moment he stepped onto the field, everything changed. The game gave him structure, purpose, and a sense of belonging. It introduced mentors who believed in him and taught lessons that reached far beyond the scoreboard.
Sports didn’t just change his life—it saved it. That experience inspired him to start North County Sports Academy, a program dedicated to helping young athletes build confidence, develop skills, and reach their potential both on and off the field.
As North County Sports Academy grew, Paul saw an even greater need: many children simply couldn’t afford to participate. That realization led to the creation of the NCSA Foundation, the nonprofit arm of the Academy.
Together, North County Sports Academy and the NCSA Foundation work hand in hand—providing training, mentorship, and financial support to ensure that every child, regardless of background, has the opportunity to learn, grow, and discover what’s possible through the power of sports.
